The Free Fire rank list goes, from bottom to top: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Heroic, Master, Elite Master and Grandmaster. Bronze and Silver have three divisions each, Gold, Platinum and Diamond have four, and Grandmaster is not a number of points: it is a place on the leaderboard, held only by the top 300 players of your region. Battle Royale and Clash Squad use the same names but have separate ranks, so you can be Heroic in one and Gold in the other.
The ladder is easy at the bottom on purpose. The game wants new players to move. The hard part starts in the upper Diamond divisions, where losing points becomes as easy as winning them.
The full Free Fire rank list, step by step
| Rank | Divisions | What it feels like |
|---|---|---|
| Bronze | I to III | Almost no point loss, many bots |
| Silver | I to III | Still gentle, you climb by playing |
| Gold | I to IV | Real players, small point loss |
| Platinum | I to IV | Kills start to matter as much as placement |
| Diamond | I to IV | Point loss grows, most players stop here |
| Heroic | One rank | Every bad match costs you |
| Master and Elite Master | Top steps | Only for steady, consistent players |
| Grandmaster | Top 300 of the region | A leaderboard spot, you can lose it any day |
The exact points you need for each division appear in the ranked menu when you tap your rank badge. Garena adjusts them from season to season, so the badge screen in your game is the number to trust.
How Battle Royale rank points work
In BR ranked, each match gives or takes points based on two things: where you finish and how many kills you get. A high place with zero kills gives a little. Many kills and an early death can still lose points in higher ranks. The best matches have both: you stay alive into the last zones and you take fights on the way.
At the bottom of the list, the entry cost is tiny and almost every match moves you up. From Diamond upward, each match has a higher entry cost, and an early death becomes a real loss.
How Clash Squad rank works
Clash Squad ranked is 4 against 4, played in rounds. Winning the match is what matters most, and your own performance adds a little or protects you from a big loss. Because a match is short, CS is the faster way to climb if you play with a fixed squad. Playing CS ranked alone with random teammates is the slowest way, because you cannot control who rushes and who hides.
The season reset and season rewards
Each ranked season lasts a few weeks. When it ends, two things happen:
- You get rewards for the highest rank you reached, not the rank you end on. If you hit Heroic once and fell back to Diamond, you still get the Heroic rewards.
- Your rank drops to a lower starting point for the new season. Higher ranks drop more, so nobody starts the new season in Heroic.
That is why the first days of a season feel crowded: strong players are back in Gold and Platinum, climbing fast. If you want an easier climb, wait a few days for them to move up.
Where most players get stuck and how to get past it
The wall for most people is Diamond III and IV. Here are the habits that move you through it.
Stop hot drops in BR ranked
An early death at Diamond costs more than three kills give you. Land at the edge of the flight path, loot fully, and fight from the second zone onward.
Play with the same squad
A squad that talks can rotate together and revive each other. Use voice or quick chat and agree on one plan before landing.
Fix your aim settings once
Ranked is not the place to test new settings. Use a base you trust, like the method in Free Fire sensitivity settings in three tests, and keep it all season.
Stop after two bad matches
Tilted players drop a whole division in one evening. Two losses in a row is a good moment to switch to casual.
Do not buy a rank boost or give your login to a booster. Sharing your account breaks Garena’s terms, and accounts used for boosting get banned or stolen. Never use a panel or macro to climb either; ranked matches are where the anti-cheat looks hardest, and the price of a hack is usually the whole account.
The real hard point on the climb
Bronze to Platinum is a matter of hours. Diamond to Heroic is where the season is won or lost, because the game starts charging you for every mistake. If you reach Heroic once, the season reward is yours even if you fall back. So play safe and steady in Diamond, push hard for one good run into Heroic, and then you can relax.
