You can get free Robux, but only from places that are connected to Roblox itself: your own creations, your group, a gift card someone else paid for, or rewards programs that pay out in Roblox gift cards. Every Robux in your account has to come out of Roblox’s own system, so the real question is not where to find a generator. It is which door into that system you can open.
Some doors cost nothing but time. Others need a bit of skill. One of them pays you without playing at all. Here they are, ordered from the quickest to the one that pays the most.
1. Gift cards paid by someone else
A Roblox gift card is the most common way young players get Robux without spending their own money. A parent, a friend or a relative buys the card in a store or online, you redeem the code on the Roblox website under Gift Cards, and the value turns into Robux or credit.
Two things to know. A digital card code is yours the moment you have it, so never send a photo of the back of a card to anyone. And a card works in your account, not on a third-party site that asks you to “verify” it.
2. Rewards programs that pay in Roblox cards
Microsoft Rewards, the points program behind Bing searches and Xbox activity, lets you trade points for Roblox digital gift cards in the countries where that item appears in its catalog. You earn points by searching, completing small daily tasks and playing on Xbox, then you redeem them for a card and use the code on Roblox.
Survey apps that pay gift cards work the same way: they pay you in cards, and a card becomes Robux. It is slow. A card can take weeks of small tasks. But the Robux are real and nobody can take them back for breaking rules, because you broke none.

3. Selling things you make
This is where free Robux really start. Roblox lets players earn from what they create:
- Clothing and accessories: shirts, pants and UGC items sold in the Marketplace pay you a share of every sale.
- Game passes and developer products: if you build an experience, players can buy perks inside it, and the Robux land in your account.
- Engagement payouts: experiences earn Robux when Premium members spend time in them.
Selling usually needs Roblox Premium or a group, and uploading items has fees. But one popular shirt can earn more than any survey ever will.
4. Your group’s funds
Groups have their own Robux balance. When a group sells clothing or game passes, the money goes to the group, and the owner can pay members out of it. Many players get their first Robux this way: they help a group build, design or moderate, and the owner sends a one-time payout.
Only accept payouts from groups you can check yourself. A real payout never asks for your password or for you to “unlock” it on another site.
5. Roblox Premium: the monthly stipend
Premium is a paid subscription, so it is not free in itself. But it is the only plan that drops Robux into your account every month: 450, 1,000 or 2,200 Robux depending on the tier, plus a 10% bonus when you buy more and the ability to trade and sell.
For creators, Premium is what turns the doors above into real income, because selling items needs it and the Developer Exchange program, which converts earned Robux into real money, is built on it.
What does not give Robux
Robux generators, “Robux by username” sites, mod menus and free Robux codes have one thing in common: none of them can write to Roblox’s servers. Free items are a different story. Roblox promo codes and in-game codes do give you free stuff, they just never give Robux.
If you already gave your password
Change it right away from Settings, turn on 2-Step Verification, and check that the email on the account is still yours. Then log out of all other sessions. If you can no longer log in, Roblox Support can recover the account when you prove it is yours.
Which way fits you
If you are under 13 or just want a few Robux, ask for a gift card or save up rewards points. If you like drawing, make clothing. If you like building, make an experience with a game pass. The players with the most Robux in Roblox did not find a trick: they sold something other players wanted.
