MLBB free skin: five ways you keep one for good

MLBB free skin guide: the events, fragment shops and pass tracks that give permanent skins without Diamonds, plus how to tell a trial card from a real skin.

Nana catching a glowing skin chest, MLBB free skin

You can get a permanent MLBB free skin from five places inside the game: free events, the fragment shops, the free tracks of passes, invite and comeback events, and official redeem codes. All five live in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang itself. Apps and websites that ask for your ID or login to “send” a skin do not.

The catch is that many “free skins” are really trial cards. They let you use a skin for one to three days and then it disappears. Learning to spot the difference saves you from spending tickets on something you will lose by the weekend.

Permanent skin or trial card: check this first

When an event shows a reward, tap it. A permanent skin says nothing about time. A trial card shows a duration like “1 day” or “3 days” in the corner. Skin trial cards are useful to test a skin, but they are not the skin.

1. Free skin events

Moonton runs events where a skin is the final reward for logging in, finishing matches or collecting tokens. The big moments are anniversaries, collaborations and new season launches. During the 10th anniversary of Mobile Legends, several skins are free to earn just by logging in and doing the tasks.

  • Open the Events icon in the lobby every day.
  • Look for words like “free”, “collect” or “exchange” next to a skin.
  • Finish the tasks before the timer ends. Tokens that you do not spend usually disappear with the event.

Promo Diamonds

Some events hand out Promo Diamonds, the orange ones. They are not real Diamonds, but in the shop they cover part of the price of selected skins. Saving them for one skin you really want is how many players get an Epic skin almost free.

2. The fragment shops

Fragments come from chests, matches, events and daily rewards. You swap them in the Shop under the fragment exchange.

Fragment Where it comes from What it buys
Skin fragments Chests, events, Lucky Spin Normal and some Elite skins
Rare fragments Chests and rewards Skins, heroes and Magic Dust
Premium skin fragments Special events Higher skins on rotation

The shop list rotates. If the skin you want is not there today, keep saving: it comes back.

3. Free tracks of passes and Starlight

Starlight is the paid monthly pass, but it has a free side. Leveling it up gives rewards even without buying, and the Starlight skin itself sometimes appears later as an event reward or in a fragment shop. Event passes linked to collaborations also have free levels with items you keep.

4. Invite and comeback events

Some events give a skin when you invite a friend who has not played for a while and they come back and play with you. They show up in the Events tab with a clear list of steps. Moonton checks the activity of the returning player, so an empty account made only for this does not count.

5. Official redeem codes

Moonton sometimes releases codes that include skins or skin trial cards. They are redeemed only on the official Code Exchange with your Game ID and a verification code sent to your in-game mailbox. Real codes are posted by Mobile Legends’ official pages and during MPL streams.

The free skin sites that take more than they give

Searches for “mlbb free skin” fill up with apps called skin injectors and pages that promise any skin for your ID. Here is what each one really does:

  • Skin injectors change files on your device so only you see the skin. Nobody else sees it, and modified files can get your account banned.
  • “Enter your ID and password” sites steal the account and sell it.
  • “Verify you are human” pages make you install apps or fill surveys that pay the site owner, and the skin never arrives.

Moonton never gives skins outside the game, the Code Exchange and official events. If something asks for your Moonton password or your Google or Facebook login, close it.

Frequently asked questions

Can I get an Epic skin free in MLBB

Yes, during big events. Anniversaries and some collaborations include a free Epic skin selection or a pick through tokens. Outside those, Promo Diamonds help lower the price.

Do skin injectors get you banned

They modify game files, which goes against the rules. The skin is only visible to you, so the risk gets you nothing other players can see.

Why did my free skin disappear

It was a trial card. Check the time shown on the reward before you claim it.

Are skins from Lucky Spin free

Lucky Spin has a free spin from time to time, and some rewards are skins or fragments. Extra spins cost Diamonds.
