99 Nights in the Forest has three working codes: awardwinner_yay, forestwakesup26 and afterparty. Each gives 15 Gems, so together they are worth 45 Gems, and the first two add bonus flames. You type them in the Codes menu of the Gem shop, in the lobby, before a run starts.
Gems are the slow currency of the game. You use them to unlock classes, and the class you pick decides whether you survive the deer, the cultists and the cold nights. That is why 45 free Gems matter more here than in most Roblox games.

All real codes are in lowercase. awardwinner_yay has an underscore in the middle; leave it in.
The fishing code
There is also yay fishing, worth 2 Gems. It does not go in the menu. You have to be in a run, holding a fishing rod and in the middle of the fishing minigame, and then write yay fishing in the chat. Some lists already mark it as expired, so try it once and move on if nothing falls from the sky. If chat is turned off on your account, this one cannot work for you.
How to redeem codes in 99 Nights in the Forest
- Join the game and stay in the lobby.
- Tap the Gems icon in the bottom left corner. The shop opens.
- Tap Codes at the bottom of the shop.
- Type the code and press Submit.
The same menu has a separate field for merch codes. Those only come with products from the official merch store. The free codes do not work there, and merch codes do not work in the normal field.
What to buy with 45 Gems
Classes are the best use of Gems by far. Look at the cheapest classes in the shop first: a class that helps you gather, heal or fight from the first night makes every later run easier, and better runs earn more Gems. Spending Gems on cosmetics before you have a useful class slows you down.
The flames from the codes are used in runs, so redeem them before a session where you plan to go deep.
Codes that are not real
No real 99 Nights code gives more than 15 Gems. Lists with codes in capital letters promising 250 or 300 Gems are invented. The game rejects them, and the sites that post them often push you to download an app or sign in. A real code is just a word you type in the game.
Why your code does not work
- Extra space. Copying often adds one before or after.
- Capitals. The game reads Afterparty and afterparty as different words.
- Wrong place. yay fishing in the menu, or a free code in the merch field.
- Already used. One use per account.
- Expired. Event codes such as happyhalloween are tied to their event and can be switched off at any time.
Where new codes come from
The developers release codes with updates, seasonal events and awards, which is where awardwinner_yay comes from. They post them in the official Discord and in the update notes on the game page. When a big update lands, check the Codes menu that same day.
Free Gems without codes
- Survive longer. Runs pay Gems as you progress, so a run that reaches more nights pays more than starting over.
- Rescue the lost kids. Finding them is the core goal of the game and pays off in progress and rewards.
- Open chests. Chests deeper in the forest hold better loot than those near camp.
- Play events. Seasonal events bring their own rewards and often their own codes.
How to make your runs last
Keep the campfire fed, because the deer monster fears the light. Upgrade the crafting bench early, collect wood and scrap in daylight, and never wander alone at night. With friends, split the jobs: one guards the fire, others gather.
