Free Fire maps give you five places to drop and loot

All Free Fire maps in play: Bermuda, Purgatory, Kalahari, Nexterra and Solara. The best zones to land on, where the loot is, and one tip that wins on each.

Free Fire maps Bermuda Purgatory Kalahari Nexterra Solara

Free Fire has five battle royale maps in play: Bermuda, Purgatory, Kalahari, Nexterra and Solara. They are the same in Free Fire and Free Fire MAX, which share servers. Alpine and Bermuda Remastered (Bermuda 2.0) left the regular rotation with the OB53 and OB54 updates in 2026. Below you have each map, the zones worth landing on and one plan that wins more fights there.

Knowing where you drop is half the match. Whoever lands without a plan spends ten seconds looking for a gun while the squad next door already has a vest and a helmet.

Free Fire maps at a glance

Map Terrain Pace Best for

Nexterra Futuristic city, open fields Mobile, lots of flanks Aggressive squads
Solara Port city, mountains, desert Very fast with slide rails Players who move constantly

Which maps appear in ranked changes with the season. The map selector before a match always shows the current pool, so check it before you queue.

Bermuda: the classic Free Fire map

Bermuda is where almost everyone learned to play. Garena calls it the classic battle royale experience. The hot drops are Clock Tower, Factory, Peak, Mill and Hangar. Quieter loot sits in Rim Nam Village, Sentosa, Shipyard, Graveyard, Cape Town and Mars Electric.

  • Factory has the famous roof fights. Land on the roof only if your squad lands with you.
  • Hangar is one of the richest loot spots on the map, and everyone knows it.
  • Peak gives height over the whole center, but it is easy to get surrounded.

Tip: avoid the drop half the lobby picks. A quiet edge town and a full kit beat a fist fight on the Factory roof.

Purgatory: bridges and open fields

Purgatory has wide battle areas and very mixed terrain. Its three islands meet at bridges, and that shapes every match. Good landings are Central, Moathouse, Marbleworks and Brasilia, plus the ski lodge and golf course for a quieter start.

Tip: plan your second move the moment you land. Carry Gloo Walls before you cross a bridge, because bridges are where squads wait. Do not run in a straight line across open fields. If long fights are your weakness, your sensitivity setup matters here more than anywhere.

Kalahari: the desert with top loot

Garena sells Kalahari with a warning: rough terrain, high-level loot, and the better you understand each area, the better your chances. The Refinery, the Elephant Graveyard, Santa Catarina and the Command Post are the names you will hear most.

Tip: Kalahari is all edges and height. Before you start a fight, know where you heal and where you escape, because third parties arrive fast in a desert with long sight lines.

Nexterra: speed and flanks

Nexterra is the futuristic map, with a university, a museum, a planetarium, twin bridges, a wind farm and an old town spread across it. It rewards players who keep moving, and it punishes squads that sit still.

Tip: use high ground with care and watch your sides. Most deaths on Nexterra come from a flank you did not check.

Solara: the newest Free Fire map

Solara arrived on May 21, 2025, the biggest map change in years. Garena describes it as a port city with a winding coastline, joined by a slide rail system that runs across the whole map. Its zones include The Hub, Studio, Bloomtown, Funfair, TV Tower, Eco Drain, Delta Isle, Riders Club, Waterfall, Aquarium, Bayside, Archway and Casa Vista.

  • The rails move you across the map in seconds, but everyone sees where you are heading. Check the end of the line before you jump on.
  • Weather changes during the match. Listen more when the light drops.
  • TV Tower gives height, and an obvious target.

Alpine and Bermuda Remastered

Alpine, the snow map with the railroad, the dock and the vantage point, left standard rotation in OB53. Bermuda Remastered, with Academy, Hydrapower and Yagami Garden, was removed in OB54. Garena has brought maps back before, Kalahari came back to ranked years after leaving, so they may return in an event.
